In 1996, Vertigo was restored, its sound was digitally remastered and it was re-released into theaters. While visiting Chicago, her home town, to attend a screening of the film, Kim Novak spoke briefly with Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times about Vertigo, Hitchcock and her career in Hollywood.
